Cultural And Artistic Highlights Of The International Saudi Falcons Exhibition 2024

The International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition 2024, hosted by the Saudi Falcons Club in Malham, near Riyadh, is open to the public from October 3 to October 12. This event offers a wide range of activities for visitors of all ages, focusing on cultural, artistic, heritage, and digital displays related to falconry.

One of the exhibition's highlights is the digital museum Shalayil. This museum provides an educational experience that delves into every aspect of falcons. It emphasizes the importance of falcons in Arab culture and heritage while offering insights into various falcon species and Saudi traditions.

The Al-Ahsa Oasis Museum is another significant exhibit at the event. It showcases Al-Ahsa Oasis, a key tourist destination in Saudi Arabia. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, it holds a Guinness World Record as the largest palm oasis globally, with over 2.5 million palm trees. Visitors can discover its rich archaeological and heritage treasures.

A dedicated section called "Future Falconer" spans over 1,000 square meters and caters to children. This area combines education with ancient heritage, offering an engaging learning experience for young visitors through interactive activities.

The exhibition also features a heritage weaving pavilion where craftswomen from different regions of Saudi Arabia display traditional handcrafted items. This pavilion highlights the Kingdom's rich artisanal traditions, showcasing the skills and creativity of local artisans.

In addition to these exhibits, the Live Art Gallery presents an innovative artistic experience. Over ten days, twenty Saudi artists will display thirty artworks that depict epic stories of falcons and falconers. These paintings explore their connection to Saudi culture and history, providing visitors with a captivating journey into the world of falcons and hunting.

This exhibition not only celebrates falconry but also offers a deeper understanding of Saudi Arabia's cultural heritage. Through diverse exhibits and engaging activities, visitors can appreciate both ancient traditions and contemporary art forms.
