Culinary Arts Commission Launches Saudi Elite Chefs Competition To Showcase Local Talent And Sustainability
The Culinary Arts Commission has introduced the first Saudi Elite Chefs Competition. This initiative aims to support Saudi chefs by showcasing their culinary talents and creativity. The competition also focuses on sustainability and the use of local ingredients. Chefs with outstanding skills will create unique dishes using these ingredients, highlighting their expertise.
Participants can choose between two categories: main courses and pastries. This allows chefs to select the area that best suits their skills. The judging panel will evaluate entries based on several criteria, including flavour, presentation, technical skills, and adherence to the theme of culinary sustainability. This underscores the importance of creatively using local resources responsibly.

Chefs participating in this competition can expect numerous benefits. They will receive priority access to prestigious culinary events and be awarded the Saudi Elite Chefs Medal. Additionally, they will receive special invitations to forums and discussions related to culinary arts, providing them with valuable networking opportunities.
Competition Timeline
The competition unfolds in multiple phases. Registration and qualification take place from October 20 to 31. Results for final qualification will be announced between October 31 and November 10. A preparatory workshop is scheduled from November 20 to 24, leading up to the final event on November 25 and 26 at the Saudi HORECA 2024 Exhibition in Riyadh.
This competition reflects the Culinary Arts Commission's dedication to empowering Saudi chefs. It aims to showcase their talents both locally and internationally while promoting sustainability and local ingredients. By doing so, it raises awareness of Saudi Arabia's rich culinary culture.
