CST Launches Side Event At Global Symposium For Regulators To Showcase Digital Regulation Innovations
The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) is set to host a significant event alongside the Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR25). This event will occur at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh from August 31 to September 3. It aims to highlight regulatory innovation and discuss the future of digital regulation and emerging technologies.
On August 31, the event will kick off with the launch of the "Media Oasis." This interactive space, created in partnership with the Ministry of Media, will feature pavilions showcasing major government projects and innovations in regulatory technologies (RegTech). Leading local and international companies from telecommunications, space, and technology sectors will participate.

Saeed AlGhamdi, CST Assistant Deputy Governor for Corporate Communications and Marketing, emphasised that this side event symbolises global engagement. He stated it provides "a dynamic platform to showcase regulatory innovation and share insights on the future of digital regulation and emerging technologies." The event also underscores CST's dedication to fostering international collaboration.
The event will feature TEDxRiyadh sessions starting on September 2. These sessions are part of the program designed to present inspiring visions and experiences in technology and AI. They aim to highlight personal stories that explore how technological advancements impact human lives.
A series of expert-led panel discussions and interactive presentations will delve into crucial regulatory themes. Topics include AI's future in the 6G era, quantum technology governance, and integrating terrestrial with non-terrestrial networks for global connectivity. These discussions aim to provide insights into upcoming challenges and opportunities.
The Sync Digital Balance initiative will be part of the Media Oasis. It will host dialogue sessions focused on digital well-being. Additionally, success stories from Saudi AI startups will be highlighted, showcasing their achievements in advancing technology within the Kingdom.
