CST Launches Registration For Third Cohort Of Regulatory Sandbox To Foster Innovation
The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) has opened registration for the third cohort of its Regulatory Sandbox. This initiative allows participants to trial innovative products, solutions, and business models in three main areas: Communications, Space, and Technology. Six technologies are involved: Blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Computing, Space Technologies, Communications Technologies, and Immersive Tech.
The Sandbox aims to foster a supportive environment for launching new business models and high-quality services. It is designed to assist entrepreneurs and innovators in the fields of Communications, Space, and Technology. By enhancing product inclusivity in the market, it targets entrepreneurs, investors, and companies within these sectors.

CST encourages local and international investors and companies to apply for this third cohort. Applications can be submitted through their website from specific dates yet to be announced. The initiative is part of CST's ongoing efforts to promote innovative services that support the digital economy's growth.
In previous cohorts, CST successfully completed eight tech products in the first round. The second cohort saw 15 tech products developed by both local and international companies. This represents an 88% increase in successful projects compared to the first cohort.
The number of participants also grew significantly by 110%, with a notable 25% increase in international participation compared to earlier rounds. This growth highlights the Sandbox's role in creating job opportunities and boosting GDP.
