CST Introduces Madarik Program To Boost Saudi Skills In Space Sector

The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) of Saudi Arabia has recently unveiled the "Madarik" Program, a strategic initiative designed to nurture national talent and ensure a sustainable future in the burgeoning space sector. This ambitious program seeks to harness the expertise of global specialists to offer varied career opportunities in space science and technology. Through a partnership with several prestigious institutions, including the International Space University of France, Georgia Institute of Technology, Thunderbird School of Global Management, BAE Systems, and Al-Yamamah University, the Madarik Program is set to commence a transformative learning journey for its participants.

Structured to be accessible from Riyadh, Jeddah, and online platforms across Saudi Arabia, the program offers three specialized tracks tailored to distinct professional interests: Space Business, Space Software and Data, and Space Engineering. Each track is meticulously designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills critical for success in the space industry. From understanding the space economy to mastering software for space missions and engineering spacecraft, these tracks cover a comprehensive curriculum.

Madarik Program Elevates Space Skills

The Space Business track is aimed at fresh graduates and seasoned professionals in fields such as strategy, business administration, economy, and law. Meanwhile, the Space Software and Data track is ideal for individuals with backgrounds in computer science, data science, and cybersecurity. Lastly, the Space Engineering track caters to those with engineering degrees looking to delve into spacecraft design, maintenance, and control.

CST has laid out specific admission criteria for prospective participants of the Madarik Program. Applicants must hold Saudi nationality and possess at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is a prerequisite. Additionally, candidates must meet all registration requirements and be available to attend the program from 5 May to 15 Aug 2024.
