Cruise Saudi Unveils Plans For Exclusive Private Island Destination In The Red Sea
Cruise Saudi, a company owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), has partnered with PC Marine Services to develop a private island in the Red Sea. This island will serve as an exclusive destination for cruise-ship passengers. The announcement was made at Cruise Saudi's headquarters in Jeddah. This initiative aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to diversify the economy and boost tourism's contribution to GDP.
The island will showcase authentic Saudi heritage through its design and experiences. It is set to become the first dedicated cruise-ship passenger destination in the Red Sea. The project is expected to be completed by December 2024, establishing itself as a unique attraction on Saudi Arabia's cruise tourism map. Visitors can look forward to a variety of recreational activities, both on land and in the water.

The island will feature several amenities, including a welcome center, dining area, beach club, private villas, and sunbathing spots. During its initial phase, it will accommodate up to 2,000 guests. These facilities aim to provide unforgettable experiences for all visitors. Mashhoor Baeshen, Cruise Saudi's executive director of commercial and business development, stated that this project will significantly enhance maritime tourism in the Kingdom.
PC Marine Services president Adnan Alshareef emphasized that this initiative offers a valuable opportunity to advance Saudi Arabia's maritime infrastructure. It supports growth within the maritime tourism sector in line with Vision 2030 goals. PC Marine Services is known for handling significant projects like the Obhur Waterfront Development and Cruise Berth Improvements in Jeddah, Yanbu, and Dammam ports.
This strategic move by Cruise Saudi aims to elevate the Kingdom's cruise sector while contributing to economic diversification efforts under Vision 2030.
