Crown Prince's Cups: Jockey Club Of Saudi Arabia Hosts First Major Races Today
The Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia (JCSA) is hosting the inaugural Crown Prince’s Cups races, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. These prestigious races, part of the 66th Riyadh Racing Season, are held at King Abdulaziz Equestrian Square. The event includes competitions for "locally bred" horses and an open-grade category for "produced and imported" horses, with a total prize pool of SAR 2 million.
Prince Bandar bin Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Equestrian Authority and JCSA, expressed his deep appreciation to HRH the Crown Prince for his support. He highlighted that this patronage is a significant honor for the equestrian community and reflects the leadership's dedication to advancing equestrian sports in Saudi Arabia. The Crown Prince’s involvement underscores a commitment to developing horse racing.
