Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman To Present Annual Address At Shura Council Inauguration
His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, will deliver the annual royal address on behalf of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. This event marks the start of the ninth session of the Shura Council on Wednesday. The Shura Council Speaker, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, along with council members appointed by Royal Decree, will take their oaths before the Crown Prince.
The annual royal address will outline Saudi Arabia's domestic and foreign policies and its stance on regional and international matters. These topics are covered under Article 14 of the Shura Council's bylaws. Dr. Al Al-Sheikh expressed gratitude to King Salman and the Crown Prince for forming the council in its ninth session through a Royal Decree.

Dr. Al Al-Sheikh highlighted that the Shura Council is guided by the royal address each year in its operations, discussions, and decisions. During the eighth session's four years, the council made 1,510 decisions across 191 regular sessions. In its fourth year alone, 44 meetings resulted in 493 decisions.
The speaker also emphasized the Kingdom's achievements under King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's leadership, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030. He noted that these successes span various levels and contribute to sustainable development within Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Al Al-Sheikh expressed his commitment to fulfilling the aspirations of Saudi leadership by contributing to comprehensive national development. He acknowledged the support and attention from leadership that enables the Shura Council to play a vital role in this process.
In his concluding remarks, Dr. Al Al-Sheikh prayed for divine guidance for Saudi leadership in pursuing righteousness and goodness. He also wished for continued security and faith for Saudi Arabia while seeking protection from any harm.
