Crawford Claims World Champion Title In Riyadh Season Card Triumph
The American Terence Crawford triumphed over Uzbekistan's Israil Madrimov in the Riyadh Season Card held in Los Angeles. Crawford won by unanimous decision, earning the WBA junior middleweight title and becoming a four-division champion.
Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) Turki bin Abdulmohsen Al Al-Sheikh announced that the Riyadh Season Card, which concluded this morning Saudi time and was held outside the Kingdom for the first time, will not be the last. He mentioned that similar events will occur frequently, whether in California or other states. Plans are underway for a significant boxing match featuring Mexican boxer Saul Alvarez (Canelo) against either Terence Crawford or Vergil Ortiz Jr.

Al Al-Sheikh’s name was also announced to be included in the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame. This institution honours boxers, trainers, and other contributors to the sport worldwide.
The event saw several notable matches. Saudi boxer Ziyad Almaayouf and American Michal Bulk ended their bout in a draw by unanimous decision. Steven Nelson achieved a knockout victory in the fifth round against Marcos Vazquez, handing Vazquez his first defeat.
Cuban Andy Cruz secured a knockout win against Mexican Antonio Moran. In another match, Cuban David Morrell won the WBA light heavyweight belt unanimously after defeating American Radivoje Kalajdzic in 12 rounds marked by caution from both fighters.
In a heavyweight clash, Congolese Martin Bakole knocked down his American opponent Jared Anderson four times over five rounds. The referee awarded Bakole the win by TKO. Another intense bout between Andy Ruiz and Jarrell Miller ended in a draw.
Mexican Jose Valenzuela emerged victorious by split decision against compatriot Isaac Cruz after 12 rounds of fierce confrontation to claim the WBA junior welterweight title.
