The Prophet's Mosque, a revered site in the Islamic world, has taken innovative steps to ensure the comfort of its visitors amidst the scorching heat. A significant cooling project involving 436 mist fans has been implemented, making it one of the most extensive of its kind globally. These fans are ingeniously integrated into the structure of 250 large umbrellas scattered across the courtyards and areas designated for itikaf, providing a much-needed respite for worshippers and visitors alike.

Each mist fan is equipped with 16 water spray apertures, ensuring an even distribution of mist, which significantly reduces the temperature in the immediate surroundings. The fans, boasting a diameter of 80 cm and a width of 38 cm, can rotate 180 degrees and complete a full rotation cycle in just 31 seconds. Positioned at a height of 3.5 meters and weighing approximately 120 kg, these fans are designed to operate efficiently without causing water to fall when turned off.

The cooling system's effectiveness is further enhanced by a sophisticated water supply mechanism. Each column requires a water supply of 200 liters per hour, which is facilitated through two water purification stations. These stations are equipped with microfilters and utilize ultraviolet rays to eliminate bacteria, salts, and other impurities from the water. This not only ensures the quality of the spray water but also protects the health of worshippers and extends the system's lifespan.

A network of pipes spanning approximately 3,200 meters supports this intricate system, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining a comfortable environment for those visiting the Prophet's Mosque.
