CONDOR And 4iG S&D Collaborate On MoU To Establish Hub For Advanced Non-Lethal Solutions In Hungary

CONDOR, a Brazilian leader in non-lethal technologies and part of the UAE's EDGE Group, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 4iG Space and Defence Technologies (S&D). This Hungarian telecommunications, IT, and defence-industrial group aims to establish a regional hub in Hungary for advanced non-lethal solutions. This collaboration seeks to enhance Hungary's defence industry and support European security efforts.

The MoU outlines plans for 4iG S&D and CONDOR to explore opportunities for producing non-lethal solutions in Hungary. This includes potential technology transfers, manufacturing, training, capacity building, and joint research initiatives. The partnership aims to deliver localised solutions that enhance Central European law enforcement capabilities.

CONDOR Partners with 4iG S&D for Non-Lethal Hub

Frederico Aguiar, CEO of CONDOR, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership. He stated, "With the strong backing of EDGE, our partnership with 4iG S&D represents a strategic step in advancing Hungary’s defence industry and supporting the wider European security ecosystem." The collaboration is expected to foster innovation and strengthen industrial ties across Europe.

The long-term partnership between 4iG SDT and EDGE aims to create competitive joint developments that align with NATO member states' technological and security policy requirements. The cooperation agreement with CONDOR lays the groundwork for a regional centre focused on limited-impact defence solutions through joint developments and knowledge transfer.

István Sárhegyi, CEO of 4iG SDT, highlighted the significance of this agreement. He noted that it marks the beginning of cross-continental cooperation. "The agreement can serve as an excellent example," he said, emphasising its potential to set a precedent for future collaborations in the field.

This MoU is part of EDGE's ongoing partnership with 4iG S&D. In July this year, they signed three MoUs to establish significant industrial cooperation between the UAE and Hungary. These agreements include exploring joint development of EDGE’s SKYKNIGHT air defence missile system and other advanced technologies.

Strengthening Ties with European Defence Ecosystems

The agreements underscore EDGE’s commitment to strengthening ties with key European defence ecosystems through dynamic partnerships. They aim to deliver jointly developed solutions that meet NATO countries' evolving modernisation needs. These efforts reflect a shared commitment to enhancing regional security capabilities.

This collaboration represents a strategic move towards developing next-generation technologies that safeguard societies across Europe. By fostering enduring partnerships, both companies aim to catalyse innovation and contribute significantly to regional security forces' capabilities.
