Aqdar Launches Comprehensive Health Initiative To Celebrate World Health Day And Promote Wellness
The Khalifa Empowerment Program (Aqdar) recently introduced a health initiative titled "Comprehensive Health for an Integrated Society" to mark World Health Day. This event took place over two days at the Ministry of Interior headquarters in Abu Dhabi, focusing on increasing public health awareness and promoting preventive care as a lifestyle choice.
The initiative offered a variety of health, sports, and nutritional services. Expert doctors and specialists provided free medical screenings and consultations in public health, nutrition, and physical fitness. Additionally, healthy restaurants served balanced meals, while sports clubs presented fitness programs to encourage Ministry employees to adopt healthier lifestyles.

Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, attended the opening ceremony. He toured the event to explore the diverse range of health and educational services available. The event aimed to inspire individuals to embrace preventive care as part of their daily lives.
The initiative concluded with a recognition ceremony led by Major General Salem Ali Mubarak Al Shamsi. As Assistant Under-Secretary for Resources and Support Services at the Ministry of Interior and Chairman of Aqdar's Supreme Committee, he honoured departments, participating entities, and partners for their contributions. He praised their collaborative efforts in advancing community well-being.
Mohammed Ismail Al Harmoudi, CEO of Aqdar, highlighted that this initiative aligns with World Health Day and embodies the Year of Community spirit. It seeks to foster a culture of holistic wellness by empowering individuals to adopt healthy behaviours. The focus is on raising awareness about early detection, balanced nutrition, and regular physical activity.
The event underscored the importance of adopting preventive measures as part of everyday life. By promoting these practices, Aqdar aims to enhance overall quality of life within the community.
