Communications Ministry Launches AI Summer Initiative To Enhance Digital Skills Across Society
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has introduced a new programme in collaboration with various educational and training institutions throughout the Kingdom. This initiative aims to make productive use of the summer break by enhancing digital skills among all societal segments and increasing awareness of emerging technologies, especially artificial intelligence (AI).
The programme is structured into three distinct tracks, each tailored for specific groups. The first track targets students under 18, offering interactive workshops that simplify AI, robotics, and the Internet of Things (IoT) concepts. These sessions are designed to engage young learners effectively.

University students and professionals form the focus of the second track. This segment provides advanced courses that enable participants to apply AI technologies in developing practical solutions within their academic or professional settings. The courses aim to bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world applications.
The third track is specifically designed for leaders and decision-makers in both public and private sectors. It seeks to enhance strategic awareness about digital transformation's significance and encourages adopting policies that support emerging technologies.
The training content covers a wide range of fields such as programming fundamentals, data analysis, IoT, generative AI, and technology ethics. Participants gain future-ready skills through a dynamic learning environment that combines theoretical insights with hands-on experience.
This initiative is part of the ministry’s broader efforts to establish a sustainable digital ecosystem. It also aims to strengthen the Kingdom’s position as a regional hub for digital talent by equipping individuals with essential skills for the future.
