Commando Group Secures Victory At AJP Tour Fujairah International Jiu-Jitsu Championship
The AJP Tour Fujairah International Jiu-Jitsu Championship wrapped up after three days of intense competition. Over 1,000 athletes from youth, amateur, and professional divisions participated, representing clubs worldwide. Commando Group emerged victorious with 58,025 points. M.O.D Academy followed in second place with 26,250 points, while Al Jazira Jiu-Jitsu Club secured third with 16,950 points.
Throughout the event, a total of 695 medals were distributed. Among these were 258 golds, 249 silvers, and 188 bronzes. This impressive medal count underscores the athletes' dedication and the sport's growing influence both regionally and globally.

The championship highlighted the UAE’s ongoing commitment to jiu-jitsu. By offering a high-level competitive environment, the country supports athletes in honing their skills and earning valuable ranking points. This also helps them prepare for future achievements on the international stage.
Prominent figures attended the closing ceremony. Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, President of the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, was present along with senior sports officials and club representatives.
Yousef Al Batran, UAEJJF Board Member, remarked on the tournament's success: "This tournament is not only remarkable for its wide participation but also for its excellent organization and high technical level. It provides an ideal platform to discover and develop new talent, reinforcing the UAE’s commitment to investing in sports and supporting the growth of jiu-jitsu both locally and internationally."
The event concluded in a celebratory atmosphere. It further solidified Fujairah’s reputation as a centre for world-class sporting events. The championship also reinforced the UAE’s status as a global leader in jiu-jitsu.
