Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi Recognised As Leading Research Hospital In UAE For Second Year

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD), part of the M42 group, has once again been named the leading health research hospital in the UAE by the National Center for Health Research (NCHR) at the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP). This accolade highlights CCAD's pioneering role in clinical innovations and its leadership in medical research and education. The hospital is accredited by both the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education International (ACGMEI) and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).

Dr. Sawsan Abdel-Razig, Chief Academic Officer at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, emphasized the importance of this recognition. "Being recognized as the top-rated research hospital in the UAE for the second consecutive year is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our entire team. In 2023, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi launched 60 new research studies, bringing their total active projects to 212. Among these are three genome-based studies focusing on liver health, breast health, and obesity. These studies aim to enhance healthcare for Emiratis by using DNA insights to develop new treatments and personalized care options.

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi continues to excel in various medical fields such as stroke care, adult cardiac surgery, antimicrobial stewardship, and extracorporeal life support. Its dedication has earned it recognition as a Centre of Excellence (CoE) across multiple disciplines.
