Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi Celebrates Ten Years Of Transforming Healthcare In The Region

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, part of the M42 group, has significantly advanced complex care in the region over the past decade. Since its inception in 2015, the hospital has treated over 6.8 million patients and conducted more than 175,000 surgeries, including over 26,000 procedures in 2024 alone.

Ten Years of Healthcare Transformation at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi

The hospital is home to the UAE's first multi-organ transplant centre and has performed over 800 transplants. It pioneered robotic kidney transplants and achieved the nation's first robotic bilateral kidney transplant from a deceased donor. Additionally, it conducted the first combined heart and lung transplant in the UAE, advancing organ transplantation in the region.

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi has been designated as a Centre of Excellence for Adult Cardiac Surgery by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH). This recognition reflects its leadership in cardiovascular innovation. The hospital has performed over 6,500 cardiac surgeries, including more than 550 transcatheter valve replacements and nearly 2,000 coronary artery bypass surgeries (CABGS).

The Fatima bint Mubarak Center is redefining oncology care with cutting-edge treatments and multidisciplinary approaches. Since its opening in 2023, it has recorded over 55,000 oncology clinic visits and performed more than 14,000 radiation treatments. The hospital offers advanced treatments for epilepsy and multiple sclerosis using cutting-edge imaging and AI-driven diagnostics. Its minimally invasive neurosurgical techniques enhance patient outcomes significantly.

The hospital embraces AI and robotic-assisted surgeries with over 1,100 robotic procedures completed. It leads clinical research with 229 active studies contributing to discoveries in precision medicine.
