CJ Group Explores Cultural Collaboration Opportunities During Visit To Saudi Arabia

CJ Group Chairman Lee Jay Hyun recently concluded a three-day visit to Saudi Arabia. The trip, organised by the Ministry of Culture, began on September 4 and aimed to explore collaboration opportunities in the cultural sector. Lee engaged with senior officials from the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Tourism, and the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) to discuss potential partnerships aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Culture invited Lee to AlUla, where he toured AlUla Studios. This film production facility features a 25,000-square-foot sound stage. The visit focused on leveraging local infrastructure for content creation and tourism collaboration. Lee expressed admiration for Saudi Arabia's cultural heritage and potential during his visit.

The CJ Group has a history of successful collaborations with Saudi Arabia. Notably, it hosted the popular K-pop event KCON in the Kingdom for two consecutive years. This relationship was further reinforced by a meeting between His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Lee Jay Hyun.

Lee emphasised that combining CJ Group's expertise in culture, entertainment, and music with Saudi Arabia's rich cultural resources could create unique synergies in the global market.
