Civil Defense Employs Advanced Tech To Boost Safety For Hajj Pilgrims
The General Directorate of Civil Defense has significantly enhanced its operations and preventive measures since the beginning of the Hajj season 1445 AH. This initiative aims to ensure the readiness and availability of safety requirements and procedures in pilgrim camps and all related sites. The directorate's efforts align with the Kingdom’s leadership directives to provide comprehensive services, ensuring the comfort and safety of pilgrims.
To maintain the safety and security of pilgrims, the directorate has established 30 seasonal centres. These centres are strategically placed to facilitate a speedy response to incidents with high efficiency. Additionally, workshops and awareness-raising programs have been implemented for Hajj service providers and organizers from outside the Kingdom.

The Directorate has bolstered the capabilities of its field centres, civil defense units, and teams. This enhancement enables them to perform their tasks effectively, in coordination with concerned authorities. The general emergency plan for Hajj is being implemented meticulously, utilizing field protection monitoring techniques at the Mina holy site.
Awareness Initiatives
Participation in exhibitions has been a key strategy to raise awareness about modern emergency response techniques. These efforts aim to maintain the safety of pilgrims in Makkah, Madinah, and other holy sites. The Directorate has also intensified fieldwork at the Arafa site in preparation for receiving pilgrims on the ninth day of Dhul-Hijjah.
Preventive Measures
Preventive survey teams have been deployed to follow up on construction and electrical work in tents, inspect exits and corridors, and determine preventive supervision sites. The latest technologies and advanced equipment are being used to ensure the security and safety of pilgrims.
The General Directorate of Civil Defense continues to prioritize the well-being of pilgrims through these comprehensive measures. Their efforts reflect a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and security during the Hajj season.
