Mr. ZHANG Dongsheng, Deputy Director General of the Commercial Steering Committee of China Southern, highlighted the route's significance, stating it as a testament to the growing cooperation between China and Saudi Arabia across multiple sectors. China Southern has expanded its network to include 14 non-stop international and regional routes from Beijing Daxing, covering key destinations like London, Amsterdam, Almaty, and Bishkek. This expansion is part of China's strategic vision to build multi-functional international aviation hubs that support the Belt and Road Initiative by enhancing air connectivity with participating countries and regions.

The inaugural flight was operated using an Airbus A330-300 aircraft, accommodating 240 passengers. To celebrate this milestone, China Southern curated a themed flight experience that blended elements of Beijing's culture with Saudi traditions. The cabin crew engaged passengers in various activities to commemorate the journey, making it a memorable experience for all onboard.
