Children's Books And General Knowledge Rank As Most In-Demand Genres At Al Ain Book Festival 2024

The Al Ain Book Festival, now in its 15th year, has attracted a diverse crowd of visitors. Organised by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC), the festival features 100,000 titles from 200 exhibitors. Held at Al Ain Square – Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, it aims to promote reading and knowledge through a blend of entertainment and learning.

Children's books were the most sought-after genre at the festival. Families found it an excellent opportunity to instil a love for reading in their children. The festival offered illustrated stories and interactive books that promote moral and social values. Parents appreciated this chance to nurture their children's imagination and creativity.

Top Genres at Al Ain Book Festival 2024

The 2024 edition of the Al Ain Book Festival began on 17th November at Al Ain Square - Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium. It will continue until 23rd November across multiple heritage and cultural sites in the city under the theme ‘All Eyes on Al Ain’. The event includes over 200 activities featuring cultural pioneers.

This year's festival aims to foster a culture of reading while encouraging engagement with Emirati cultural heritage. It seeks to inspire community members, particularly youth and young adults, to appreciate the rich legacy of Emirati culture through literature and creative arts.
