Chairman Of General Authority Of Islamic Affairs Promotes Tolerance In Friday Sermon At Moscow Grand Mosque
Dr. Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, emphasised the importance of embracing Islam's tolerant values. He highlighted the virtues experienced during Ramadan, such as compassion and solidarity. "This is the approach of the true Islamic religion, which calls for tolerance, strengthening the social fabric, and cooperation to achieve a happy and prosperous life for all members of society, regardless of their affiliations and sects," he stated during a Friday sermon at Moscow Grand Mosque.
The Moscow Grand Mosque stands as a significant historical site over a century old. It is one of Russia's oldest mosques and the largest in Moscow. This mosque attracts Muslims from across the nation. The UAE has consistently supported this mosque through reconstruction efforts and funding charitable projects managed by mosque officials. Additionally, scholarships are provided for students to study in the UAE, fostering interfaith dialogue and peaceful coexistence.
Dr. Al Darei's message focused on promoting tolerance and strengthening social bonds within communities.
