CDF Brings Together Cultural Leaders At The 2025 'Storytellers' Suhoor Event
The Cultural Development Fund (CDF) recently organised the 2025 "Storytellers" Suhoor, gathering influential figures from the cultural and development sectors. This event aimed to foster connections, explore opportunities, and support the sector's growth. As a financial enabler, the CDF plays a crucial role in nurturing Saudi culture and inspiring creativity.
Held at AlMashtal Creative Incubator, the event marked its third consecutive year. It underscored CDF's commitment to supporting cultural entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The gathering also sought to strengthen partnerships with government bodies, private sectors, and nonprofits for sustainable cultural growth.

Majed Al-Hogail, CDF Chief Executive, delivered a keynote speech highlighting the fund's initiatives. Representatives from the Elite Chefs Center also spoke about their "CHEFPreneur" program. This initiative trains aspiring chefs in culinary skills and entrepreneurship, enabling them to start competitive businesses.
The event celebrated 42 graduates of the CHEFPreneur program. These individuals successfully completed their training journey, showcasing their readiness to launch projects in the culinary field. The program is part of CDF’s efforts to empower creative professionals.
The evening featured cultural activities aligned with the Year of Handicrafts 2025. Guests participated in traditional crafts like prayer bead-making and henna art. A special art exhibition showcased works by visual artist Naifah Alshahrani, inspired by Al-Qatt Al-Asiri from southern Saudi Arabia.
This exhibition paid homage to rich heritage through vibrant colours and intricate details. It added an artistic touch to the evening, allowing guests to appreciate Saudi Arabia's cultural richness firsthand.
Showcasing Beneficiary Projects
In line with its mission, CDF showcased several beneficiary projects during the event. Guests experienced these creative offerings firsthand, reflecting CDF’s ongoing support for projects it has enabled. This approach highlights how CDF nurtures creativity within Saudi Arabia.
The "Storytellers" Suhoor is part of CDF’s broader strategy to drive economic development through culture. By enhancing quality of life and fostering strategic partnerships, CDF aims to contribute significantly to Saudi Arabia's cultural landscape.
