CDF Highlights Saudi Handicrafts And Cultural Investment At Expo 2025 Osaka Event

The Cultural Development Fund (CDF) engaged in a series of activities on August 22 and 23 as part of the Kingdom's pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka. These events included a workshop for investors and an interactive handicrafts experience. Saudi Arabia’s Year of Handicrafts 2025 was highlighted on the global stage, with participation from Dr. Ghazi Faisal Binzagr, Saudi Ambassador to Japan and Commissioner General of the Saudi Arabia Pavilion.

The workshop, titled "Saudi Cultural Development Fund: Driving Innovative Business Solutions," welcomed entrepreneurs and international investors. It provided insights into CDF’s role as a key financial enabler for the cultural sector in the Kingdom. Participants were invited to explore CDF’s support offerings and join Saudi Arabia’s journey of cultural growth.

Saudi Handicrafts Featured at Expo 2025 Osaka

In parallel, an engaging handicrafts activity titled "Saudi Handicraft: Palm Weaving" took place. This event showcased the Kingdom’s living heritage through collaboration with Madrasat Addeera, which guides and trains artisans in AlUla, and Turquoise Mountain, a global leader in preserving traditional arts. Visitors crafted unique pieces from Saudi palm leaves, symbolising cultural harmony between Saudi Arabia and Japan.
