The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) has introduced the "Innovation Hub" at the Emirates Institute of Finance. This centre is dedicated to research, innovation, and development in financial services. It aligns with the UAE's vision for sustainable technological transformation and aims to cultivate specialised national skills in financial innovation.

The Innovation Hub is a crucial part of the "Financial Infrastructure Transformation Programme." This programme includes nine initiatives designed to speed up digital transformation in finance. The collaboration between the Emirates Institute of Finance and the Central Bank aims to nurture skilled professionals ready for industry challenges.

The inauguration highlighted various technological solutions and global AI applications. The Hub's focus on advanced technologies was evident through these demonstrations. The centre features six laboratories: Learning Lab, Digital Lab, Reg Lab, Think Lab, Collab Lab, and Future Lab. These labs offer a platform for students and professionals to share ideas and address sector challenges.

Balama stated, "The launch of the Innovation Hub embodies the Central Bank's strategic objectives of establishing robust and innovative financial market infrastructure, and support shaping the future of the UAE's financial technology and digitalisation journey."

Collaborations with Microsoft

A collaboration agreement with Microsoft was signed during the inauguration. This partnership aims to develop advanced technological solutions that improve digital efficiency in finance. As part of this collaboration, AI training courses will be offered to 10,000 professionals across the UAE's financial services sector.

Naim Yazbeck from Microsoft UAE commented on this initiative: "AI is changing industries and driving global innovation. The UAE aims to become a leading AI nation, and skilling is essential to this goal."

Partnerships with Udacity and Accenture

Additionally, an MoU was signed with Udacity and Accenture during the event. This initiative seeks to upskill 5,000 learners in areas like data analytics and cybersecurity. Omar Boulos from Accenture stated their goal is to expand this programme across all UAE financial institutions.

Omar Boulos said, "By leveraging our advanced digital learning platform, powered by Udacity and part of Accenture's LearnVantage, we aim to broaden the reach of this programme across all financial institutions in the UAE."

Collaboration with Ernst & Young

Another MoU was signed between the Emirates Institute of Finance and Ernst & Young (EY). This partnership focuses on developing sustainable digital solutions for finance. It also includes advanced training programmes in data analysis, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
