CBUAE Joins Forces With Dubai Courts To Link Electronic Services Via MoU

The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) and Dubai Courts have formalised an agreement to integrate electronic services for executing judgments, orders, and decisions issued by Dubai Courts. This integration will be facilitated through the Central Bank's court cases management system.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Khaled Mohamed Balama, Governor of CBUAE, and Prof. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Director-General of Dubai Courts. The signing took place at the Central Bank's headquarters in Abu Dhabi with senior officials from both institutions present.

CBUAE & Dubai Courts Ink MoU

This MoU is part of a broader initiative to implement the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme. The programme aims to improve service efficiency, quality, and effectiveness while aligning with the UAE's digital strategy for services provided to individuals and businesses.

The agreement also seeks to foster collaboration across various fields. It establishes mechanisms for electronic connectivity to expedite the execution of judgments, orders, and decisions issued by Dubai Courts within the jurisdiction of the Central Bank. This will be done in compliance with the procedural rules of CBUAE's court cases management system.

Khaled Mohamed Balama emphasised that "The MoU comes from the central bank's keenness to implement the leadership vision of promoting digital transformation strategy, activating mechanisms of integration and partnership, and sharing expertise with all federal and local authorities to provide pioneering services that meet global standards to individuals and businesses and partners. This will enhance the country's competitiveness globally and support sustainable growth."

Advancing Judicial Efficiency

Prof. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi highlighted that "The MoU strengthens the collaborative efforts with the Central Bank in the realm of electronic linkage, an initiative that opens new horizons for enhancing efficiency, effectiveness, and speed in the execution of judgments, orders, and judicial decisions issued by Dubai Courts. This initiative paves the way for a new phase of excellence in achieving the objectives of electronic linkage, aligning with the joint efforts to advance the smart transformation journey and build the world's smartest and happiest city. This is in line with the insightful vision and wise directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai."

Al Suwaidi further elaborated that this step will support Dubai Courts' mission to ensure swift justice delivery. It aims to provide exceptional judicial services that guarantee customer satisfaction while upholding values like justice, independence, and transparency.

This collaboration marks a significant step towards enhancing digital connectivity between federal entities in UAE. It underscores a commitment to improving public service delivery through technological advancements.
