She highlighted how Islamic art and design have been beautifully preserved through various eras within the mosque's structure. This blend of diverse architectural styles showcases cultural unity and creativity at its finest.

During their visit, Carney and his delegation also paid respects at the mausoleum of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. They reflected on his wisdom and vision for peace that continues to influence the UAE’s culture of tolerance today.

Carney expressed his admiration for the comprehensive presentation they received at this iconic site. "It is an exceptional opportunity to receive such a specialised and thorough presentation of this landmark. Beyond its beauty and the inspiration it evokes, this monument brings together diverse elements in a unified vision. It is a humbling and inspiring scene, and a testament to Sheikh Zayed’s vision and to the dedicated efforts of the Emiratis who helped realise it," he said.

The Canadian Prime Minister was gifted with a commemorative item that captured the mosque’s artistic essence. Additionally, he received "Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque: Lights of Peace," a publication that offers readers an artistic journey through award-winning photographs from the "Spaces of Light" competition.
