'The Camel Through The Ages' Exhibition Showcases At Ithra Museum
The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) and the Layan Culture Foundation launched the "The Camel through the Ages" exhibition at the Ithra Museum in Dhahran. This exhibition, open until November 1, showcases 54 artworks by 38 local and international artists. It offers a historical journey through art, featuring paintings, photographs, and sculptures that narrate the story of camels in the Arabian Peninsula.
The exhibition highlights the cultural significance of camels and their impact on Saudi identity. It explores their economic importance and role in cultural advancement, showcasing key milestones that connect camels to tradition. Through various artistic expressions, it vividly conveys cultural symbols and brings historical stages to life.

Noura Alzamil, head of programs at Ithra, emphasized that the exhibition uses sculptures and paintings to portray meaningful themes. She noted that these artworks offer unique artistic expressions that support historical narratives of individuals and societies.
Ghada Al-Tobaishi, Managing Director at Layan Culture, mentioned that the exhibition features a diverse collection of artworks. These pieces illustrate the enduring presence of the Arabian camel in various aspects of life. The variety in artistic styles provides a comprehensive view of camels' significance throughout history.
In addition to the exhibition, visitors can access a book titled "The Camel through the Ages." Published by the Layan Culture Foundation and King Abdulaziz Public Library, this book offers academic insight into the historical background of camels and their relationship with humans.
