Camb.AI Launches Groundbreaking AI Speech Emulator 'MARS5' In Dubai

Camb.AI has introduced "MARS5," an advanced open-source Artificial Intelligence speech emulator, capable of generating voices and texts in hundreds of languages. This AI tool aligns with Dubai’s objectives to promote innovative AI research, inspired by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. He advocates that the future belongs to those who can imagine, design, and implement it.

The launch occurred during the AI Retreat, organised by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence Applications in collaboration with the National Program for Artificial Intelligence. This event marked the largest gathering aimed at accelerating AI adoption, attended by over 1,000 decision-makers, experts, and officials from both government and private sectors.

Camb.AI praised Dubai and the UAE for creating a unique environment that transforms ideas into reality and fosters distinguished AI companies originating in Dubai. This initiative strengthens Dubai’s position as a global hub for entrepreneurs and researchers to initiate their success stories.

Features of MARS5

MARS5 integrates various AI models that combine texts, emotions, performance, and meaning. It simplifies complex processes such as mathematical equations, movies, animations, and more within seconds. The model is open-source in English and trained on data for over 150,000 hours using 1.2 billion parameters. MARS5 supports more than 140 languages with unique capabilities for voice recognition and real-time translation.

Collaborative Efforts

The development of MARS5 was supported by collaborative efforts with AWS, which provided GPU computing resources. NVIDIA facilitated access to generative AI through its H100 GPUs and the Triton Inference Server model to expand the inference scope for MARS and BOLI models.

Investment and Support

The model's early investors include DFDF, Courtside, TRTL, 5PointVentures, and Ikemori Ventures. These investments have been crucial in bringing MARS5 to fruition.

With these advancements, Camb.AI is set to make significant contributions to the field of AI speech emulation, further solidifying Dubai's role as a leader in technological innovation.
