Cairo Celebrates Winners Of The 27th Sharjah Arab Creativity Award In Cultural Ceremony

In a significant cultural event, Cairo recently became the stage for the 27th Sharjah Arab Creativity Award's first edition ceremony. This prestigious event, under the patronage of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, was a collaborative effort between the Department of Cultural Affairs at the Department of Culture in Sharjah and the Egyptian Ministry of Culture. The ceremony not only celebrated the creative achievements of Arab intellectuals but also underscored the deep-rooted cultural ties between Egypt and Sharjah.

During the ceremony, notable figures such as Dr. Hisham Azmi, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Culture, welcomed Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Head of the Sharjah Department of Culture, and Professor Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qasir, Director of the Department of Cultural Affairs. The event highlighted the shared commitment to fostering a rich cultural landscape across the Arab world.

Cairo Honours Arab Creativity Winners

Al Owais expressed his satisfaction with the ongoing cultural collaboration and conveyed the Sharjah Ruler's greetings and support for the award's participants. This support is seen as vital for enhancing the role of Arab intellectuals in society.

The award ceremony took place at the Culture and Arts Theatre of the Supreme Council of Culture in Egypt, attended by a distinguished audience of intellectuals, writers, academics, and artists from Egypt and other Arab countries. This year marked a significant milestone as it was one of the occasions where the celebration was held outside the UAE, showcasing Sharjah's commitment to spreading cultural benefits across Arab nations.

Professor Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qasir emphasized the importance of unity among Arab countries and highlighted the creative potential within Arab youth. The partnership between Sharjah's Department of Culture and the Egyptian Ministry of Culture has been instrumental in creating platforms for young talents in various literary fields.

The ceremony also included a scientific workshop titled "Narrative Techniques in the Contemporary Novel," led by Dr. Hussein Hamouda. This workshop delved into modern narrative strategies and interactive storytelling, offering insights into contemporary literary trends.

The event concluded with an announcement of future sessions on interactive narrative techniques and poetry readings by award-winning poets. This celebration not only honored young innovators but also reinforced Sharjah's vision to nurture creativity across the Arab world.
