SBWC And Sheraa Conclude Successful Business Readiness Bootcamp For Women Entrepreneurs In Sharjah

The Sharjah Business Women Council (SBWC) and the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Centre (Sheraa) have wrapped up their Business Readiness Bootcamp. This initiative aims to boost women-led startups and create a more inclusive entrepreneurial environment in Sharjah. Over five days, female entrepreneurs participated in practical workshops covering essential business development areas.

Participants engaged in sessions on legal frameworks, marketing strategies, financial planning, fundraising, and pitching. The bootcamp concluded with one-on-one pitch rehearsals guided by experienced mentors. This comprehensive approach provided attendees with valuable skills and knowledge to advance their business ventures.

Successful Business Bootcamp for Women Entrepreneurs

Mariam bin Al Sheikh, Director of SBWC, expressed the importance of this collaboration with Sheraa. She stated, "Our partnership with Sheraa embodies a shared vision to empower women entrepreneurs and enhance their participation in Sharjah’s thriving startup ecosystem. The bootcamp provided a launchpad for women to enhance their role as influential leaders, driving innovation and sustainable development across the UAE."

Abeer AlAmeeri from Sheraa highlighted the centre's commitment to supporting women-led startups. "At Sheraa, we believe in unlocking human potential to drive positive change across society," she said. Their mission is to nurture visionary entrepreneurs by offering tailored support and mentorship.

The bootcamp addressed challenges faced by women entrepreneurs through extensive training on critical business aspects. Experts guided participants through modules on legal and licensing frameworks, marketing strategies, financial management, and fundraising techniques. These sessions equipped attendees with the necessary tools for success.

The legal module covered company structures, intellectual property rights, contracts, and compliance requirements. Marketing sessions focused on creating cohesive strategies and mastering digital platforms to reach target audiences effectively.

Financial Management Skills

Financial workshops aimed at building confidence in budgeting, cash flow management, and investor engagement. These skills are crucial for securing funding and managing resources wisely. Participants learned how to navigate financial challenges effectively.

The bootcamp culminated in personalised pitch rehearsals where participants honed their storytelling abilities. This preparation enabled them to present their business ideas confidently to potential investors and stakeholders.

Ongoing Support and Community Integration

Graduates of the bootcamp join Sheraa’s entrepreneurship community for continued support. This network connects them with industry experts, investors, and fellow founders. It fosters knowledge exchange and collaboration while promoting sustainable business growth.

This integration ensures ongoing guidance for women entrepreneurs beyond the bootcamp's duration. Participants receive opportunities that support their ventures at every development stage.

Aligning with Broader Goals

The Business Readiness Bootcamp aligns with the UAE’s broader vision and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Initiatives like this strengthen Sharjah’s entrepreneurial landscape while positioning female-led startups as key drivers of economic growth.

Through collaborative efforts between SBWC and Sheraa, Sharjah is becoming a global hub for inclusive entrepreneurship. This initiative ensures that women founders have access to resources needed for success.
