Burjeel Holdings Expands PhysioTherabia Network With New Centres Across Saudi Arabia
Burjeel Holdings PLC, a prominent healthcare services provider in the MENA region and listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), has recently announced the opening of eight new PhysioTherabia centers across Riyadh and four other cities in Saudi Arabia. This expansion significantly increases its presence within the Kingdom, introducing state-of-the-art facilities aimed at promoting holistic health and wellbeing. These centers are strategically located in key fitness establishments including Ghadeer Fitness Time, Shafie Fitness Time, and Al Nada Men’s Gym in Riyadh, among others in Yanbu, Jeddah, Dammam, and Al Khobar.
In collaboration with Leejam Sports Company, Burjeel Holdings launched its first four PhysioTherabia centers in Riyadh last year. This venture introduced a pioneering network for physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and wellness, designed to cater to the diverse wellness needs of the community through a gym-based model. The initiative aligns with the goal of integrating preventive rehabilitation and fitness to foster optimal health.

Further enhancing its service offerings, PhysioTherabia has entered into a strategic partnership with Tawuniya, a leading insurance company in Saudi Arabia. This collaboration is set to broaden PhysioTherabia’s client base, particularly within the insurance sector, and is anticipated to contribute to revenue growth while consolidating its position as a major player in the healthcare industry.
John Sunil, Chief Executive Officer of Burjeel Holdings, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion. He stated, "We are delighted to expand PhysioTherabia centers to more parts of Saudi Arabia, marking a significant milestone in our commitment to providing advanced physiotherapy services in the Kingdom. It underscores our dedication to empowering individuals on their journey to optimal health and wellness, while strengthening our presence in key regions." Sunil also reiterated the company’s target of establishing 60 such centers within and outside Leejam Sports’ gyms across the Kingdom by the end of 2025.
The new PhysioTherabia centers offer specialized services including musculoskeletal rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation with robotics, paediatric rehabilitation, sports injury rehabilitation, spinal and back rehabilitation, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT). These services aim not only at promoting physical recovery but also at positioning Saudi Arabia as a regional hub for comprehensive sports performance training and management. This initiative supports the integration of the Kingdom into the Exercise is Medicine Global Health Network managed by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), aligning with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals.
The expansion of PhysioTherabia centers across Saudi Arabia reflects Burjeel Holdings’ commitment to enhancing healthcare services and contributing to the overall wellness of individuals. It also highlights the company’s strategic efforts in extending its geographical footprint within the Kingdom, thereby playing a pivotal role in advancing healthcare standards and services.
