In the first half 2023, the Bur Dubai Police Station achieved a significant milestone by recording zero traffic-related deaths within its jurisdiction. This achievement marks a stark contrast to the nine fatalities reported during the same period in the previous year. Major General Dr. Abdul Quddoos Abdul Razzaq Al Obaidly, Assistant Commandant for Excellence and Pioneering Affairs, highlighted the station's role as a leading example of innovative and effective security strategies aimed at enhancing public safety and quality of life.

During an annual inspection visit, Maj. Gen. Al Obaidly, accompanied by notable figures such as Major General Dr. Tariq Tahlak and Major General Abdullah Khadem Suroor Al Maasem, reviewed the station's strategic indicators, including a perfect officer-on-duty presence rate at reported incidents and an impressive emergency response time. The visit underscored the station's comprehensive efforts in security management, public safety, and community service.

Strategic Indicators and Traffic Records

The team's dedication to maintaining high-standard security coverage and their swift response to emergencies were commended. Notably, the station achieved an outstanding 100% officer-on-duty presence rate and an impressive response time of two minutes and five seconds for emergency cases. Additionally, the Traffic Records Section's pivotal role in achieving a zero fatality rate on public roads in 2023 was highlighted, underscoring the importance of awareness, coordination, and planning in reducing traffic-related fatalities.

Maj. Gen. Al Obaidly also noted the station's efforts in engaging with various partners to implement adjustments based on analytical studies and field experience. This collaborative approach led to commendable outcomes, such as the elimination of fatalities on Al Badaa Street and a 39% reduction in accident fatalities in 2023. These initiatives, part of the station's traffic campaigns, benefitted approximately 15,000 individuals in the Bur Dubai area.

The inspection visit also shed light on the station's achievements in 2023, including maintaining a record of zero traffic reports against anonymous individuals for six consecutive years and securing the top rank among police stations for employee training. The station's commitment to innovation was evident in registering three intellectual property patents and achieving an impressive 96.3% employee satisfaction rate.

Furthermore, the Victim Communication Team's efforts were recognized, achieving a 100% communication rate with victims in both criminal and traffic cases within seven working days throughout 2023. This consistent performance demonstrates the team's professionalism and dedication to their objectives, further enhancing the station's overall effectiveness in serving and protecting the community.
