Expanding Support: Bridges Of Hope's Second Phase To Rehabilitate 60 Egyptian Centres
In a significant move towards enhancing the lives of people of determination, the Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination (ZHO) in collaboration with the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports, has embarked on the second phase of the "Bridges of Hope" programme. This initiative, under the sponsorship of ADQ, aims to rehabilitate and develop 60 centres dedicated to people of determination across Egypt. Additionally, it includes the provision of internet services to these centres, ensuring they are well-equipped to serve their communities effectively.
The collaboration between ZHO and the Egyptian Ministry is a continuation of their efforts initiated last November. A key component of this partnership is the deployment of a medical caravan that traverses various provinces in Egypt. The caravan's mission is to deliver urgent medical care to people of determination and their families, addressing a critical need within these communities.

As part of this initiative, ZHO has successfully launched nine medical awareness caravans across several provinces. These caravans offer services in 12 different medical specialties, aiming to raise awareness and provide essential healthcare services to families of people of determination in some of Egypt's rural areas. The services range from paediatrics to nutrition, covering a comprehensive spectrum of healthcare needs.
The impact of these caravans has been profound. In the Fayoum Governorate alone, three medical caravans reached out to villages most in need, benefiting a total of 3,655 individuals. This included 597 children and 3,058 adults who received various medical examinations and treatments. The villages of Al-Amiriya, Al-Azb, and Tabhar saw significant engagement from the community, with thousands receiving medical consultations and prescriptions.
Similarly, in the Assiut Governorate, six medical caravans were deployed in collaboration with Resala Association and local youth campaigns. This effort saw over 25,000 individuals receiving medical attention, highlighting the extensive reach and positive impact of the programme on communities in need.
The sponsorship and financial backing provided by ADQ for the second phase of this programme have been instrumental in its success. This phase focuses on making facilities more accessible and user-friendly for people of determination, particularly in rural areas of Egypt. The first phase saw remarkable achievements as well, with the development of 68 speech therapy centres across 27 provinces within one and a half years—a task initially projected to take three years. This effort benefited 16,898 people through 480,976 speech therapy sessions.
The "Bridges of Hope" programme stands as a testament to the commitment of ZHO and its partners towards empowering people of determination. By developing facilities and providing essential services, this initiative aims to support individuals from diverse backgrounds and skill sets, fostering an environment where everyone has access to the care and resources they need.
