BRIDGE Summit Highlights: National Media Office's Commitment To Future Media Innovation And Collaboration
Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office (NMO) and the UAE Media Council, emphasised the UAE's dedication to fostering international media partnerships. Under President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's leadership, this commitment aims to cultivate a media landscape driven by knowledge and innovation, rooted in shared human values. Al Hamed highlighted these points during a panel discussion at the annual Ramadan gathering in Dubai.
The event introduced the BRIDGE Summit, a global initiative launched by the NMO in Washington, D.C., on 10th March. The summit aims to connect East and West, promoting media integration and adapting to digital changes for a more responsible media future. Al Hamed stated that the summit is designed to be a global reference for the media industry, anticipating its future and leading its transformation.
Al Hamed explained that the BRIDGE Summit serves as a sustainable platform for international cooperation. It seeks to address shared challenges in the media sector through collaboration and innovation. The summit aims to establish a future media landscape based on credibility, transparency, and innovation while enhancing its contribution to the global economy.
The NMO Chairman also noted that recent technological advancements, particularly in Artificial Intelligence, have significantly transformed the global media sector. These changes underscore the need for stronger international partnerships to ensure sustainability within the industry. The BRIDGE Summit provides a forum for exchanging expertise and exploring opportunities presented by advanced technologies.

Dr Jamal Mohammed Obaid Al Kaabi, Director-General of NMO, highlighted key themes of BRIDGE during the Ramadan gathering. He emphasised its role in strengthening global collaboration within the media sector while keeping pace with digital transformations. Dr Al Kaabi described BRIDGE as "the UAE’s gift to the world."

The summit is set for December in Abu Dhabi as an unprecedented global event bringing together leaders from various sectors under one platform dedicated to shaping industry’s future. A comprehensive exhibition will showcase innovations from top national and international companies offering unique partnership opportunities on a global scale.
NMO Director General noted that this platform supports entrepreneurship within media by opening avenues for creativity among startups seeking investment opportunities from major corporations worldwide—creating real opportunities for emerging companies looking towards expansion into new markets through insights gained from global expertise.
