GCAA Hosts Bridge Of Generations In Aviation Event To Enhance Knowledge Exchange

The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) recently held the "Bridge of Generations in Aviation" event under the "Love Your Sky" campaign. This initiative aimed to enhance communication between different generations in the civil aviation sector, promoting knowledge exchange and expertise sharing. The event featured seasoned aviation experts and innovative university students engaging in interactive sessions to prepare exceptional national talents for future challenges.

Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Director-General of the Community Development Authority in Dubai, attended the event alongside Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director-General of GCAA, and Maitha Mohammed Al Shamsi, CEO of the Social Empowerment Sector at CDA. They were joined by senior officials, academics, and students with an interest in aviation. Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid stated, "The 'Bridge of Generations in Aviation' event reflects one of the core pillars of the UAE’s development journey, where progress is not measured by material achievements alone but by our ability to transfer knowledge and experience across generations."

Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi highlighted the significance of intergenerational engagement at the event's opening. Maitha Al Shamsi emphasised that this event aligns with the UAE’s vision of investing in people and fostering connections across generations. She remarked that national cadres' rich knowledge and experience are invaluable resources for youth. She added that empowering individuals involves building values and practices that reinforce giving and social responsibility.

The gathering hosted over 180 university students from various colleges. Aviation experts shared their experiences through interactive dialogue sessions, including open discussions about future opportunities in the sector. This initiative underscores GCAA’s dedication to fostering generational communication and preparing distinguished national talents for roles in civil aviation.

Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi reflected on his long career in civil aviation, noting how the UAE has evolved into a global hub. He observed significant efforts by national cadres throughout this journey.
