Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi Attends Silver Jubilee Celebration Of Breastfeeding Friends Society In Sharjah
The Breastfeeding Friends Society (BFF) celebrated its 25th anniversary at the Sharjah Ladies Club. Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, the Honorary President, attended the event. The society unveiled a new brand identity, reflecting its dedication to supporting mothers and children. This rebranding aims to enhance their physical and mental well-being while embodying the society's mission.
Sheikha Bodour stated, "The Silver Jubilee is a celebration of the longevity of the Breastfeeding Friends Society and its enduring impact on families and communities. For 25 years, it has been a beacon of compassion and understanding, giving mothers unstinting support and promoting the profound bond between them and their children. The new brand identity represents more than a visual change—it symbolises a renewed commitment to empowering women, strengthening families, and ensuring future generations grow in health, love, and security."

Khawla Al Noman, Chairperson of BFF, expressed gratitude to H.H. Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi for her ongoing support. She also thanked Sheikha Bodour for attending the ceremony. Al Noman highlighted BFF's achievements over 25 years in promoting breastfeeding awareness and maternal health through expert-led programmes aligned with global standards.
Since 2004, BFF has graduated 328 breastfeeding counsellors. It has provided equipment services to 13,500 beneficiaries since 2002 and conducted 15,400 consultations since 2006. The society received recognition from The World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA) four times consecutively from 2021 to 2024.
In 2016, BFF won first place in the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work as the best NGO for establishing voluntary opportunities. It also received an award in the partnerships category at the Arabia CSR Awards in 2022. Since its inception, BFF has welcomed 400 volunteers who have significantly contributed to its mission.
During the event, partners, sponsors, supporters, board members, founders, and volunteers were honoured for their contributions. Their efforts have supported BFF's journey in enhancing community support for maternal and child health over the years.
The society's new logo symbolises its renewed commitment to empowering women and strengthening families. This initiative ensures that future generations grow up healthy and secure within loving environments.
