Brazil Bestows Grand Cross On UAE Ambassador Saleh Ahmed Al Suwaidi For Strengthening Ties

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Brazil has honoured Saleh Ahmed Al Suwaidi, the UAE Ambassador, with the Grand Cross of the National Order of the Southern Cross. This accolade recognises his efforts in enhancing the strategic partnership between the UAE and Brazil as he concludes his tenure. The award is Brazil's highest honour for foreign nationals, typically given to heads of government, ambassadors, and dignitaries.

During a ceremony hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Carlos Duarte, Deputy Minister for the Middle East and Africa, praised the advancements in the UAE-Brazil partnership. He noted several agreements and memoranda of understanding that have been signed between both nations. Duarte also acknowledged the growth of UAE investments in Brazil across various key sectors.

Al Suwaidi expressed gratitude to Brazil's leadership for this recognition. He emphasised that it symbolises the robust relationship between both countries and their citizens. Al Suwaidi reaffirmed the UAE's dedication to deepening its ties with Brazil, viewing it as an essential partner. He is eager to explore new opportunities for collaboration.

The ambassador took pride in his role as a representative of the UAE in Brazil. He highlighted that achievements during his tenure were due to collective efforts with Brazilian entities. Al Suwaidi remains optimistic about future collaborations in emerging fields like innovation, artificial intelligence, data centres, advanced industries, and energy.
