Brand Dubai Concludes Successful Second Edition Of National Month Celebrations With Community Engagement
After a month filled with activities celebrating national pride, Brand Dubai concluded the second edition of the National Month celebrations. This initiative, directed by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, involved over 250 entities from various sectors. The programme began with Flag Day and ended with the 54th Eid Al Etihad, under the #ZayedAndRashid campaign, honouring the UAE's founding leaders.
Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson of the Dubai Media Council, highlighted how the events fostered a sense of belonging and pride. She expressed gratitude to partners whose support was crucial for reinforcing values like loyalty and unity. The high level of public engagement demonstrated the campaign's success in connecting people with the UAE’s vision and progress.

The celebrations featured significant events across Dubai. On 3rd November, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum raised the UAE flag at DIFC's Gate Building. Brand Dubai collaborated with DIFC to create a large artwork featuring Sheikh Zayed and Sheikh Rashid, symbolising both historical roots and future ambitions in innovation and space.
Brand Dubai also unveiled a ground installation near Dubai Frame, showcasing a joint portrait of Sheikh Zayed and Sheikh Rashid. This artwork used multi-coloured gravel to form an 82-metre diameter tribute visible from above. Such installations highlighted the nation’s respect for its founders while celebrating its achievements.
Shaima Al Suwaidi from Brand Dubai noted that collaboration among government bodies was key to National Month's success. The initiative strengthened national identity by uniting society around a shared message: everyone plays a role in shaping the future envisioned by the Founding Fathers.
Engaging Creative Expressions
Sara Merdas, part of the organising committee, stated that this year’s campaign creatively narrated the Union's story and ongoing progress. It reached approximately 2.9 billion people globally through digital media, with over 75 million video views and more than 160,000 posts online.
The Firdaus Women’s Orchestra performed at Expo City Dubai’s House of Arts during National Month. Their concert featured ‘Zayed and Rashid’, inspired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s poem ‘The People and the Leader’. This performance reflected Dubai’s diverse cultural landscape.
Supporting Local Enterprises
National Month also supported small businesses through initiatives like Proudly from Dubai. Over 150 homegrown ventures participated in celebrations, highlighting local entrepreneurship as vital to national development. This approach emphasised investing in creativity as an investment in people and their future.
The month concluded on 2nd December with the Al Etihad Parade organised by Brand Dubai alongside other authorities. Over 500 vehicles participated in this tribute to UAE’s unity journey from Union House to Burj Al Arab, symbolising modern achievements and global stature.
These celebrations underscored Emirati society's creativity in transforming national values into meaningful experiences while honouring its heritage through innovative expressions across various platforms.
