Black Hat Middle East And Africa 2024 Set To Return To Malham With Over 300 Speakers
The upcoming Black Hat Middle East and Africa event, a major cybersecurity gathering, is set for its third edition. It will take place at the Riyadh Exhibition & Convention Center in Malham, north of Riyadh, from November 26 to 28. Organised by the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones and Tahaluf, this event aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.
Faisal Alkhamisi, Chairman of the federation’s board of directors, highlighted the significance of hosting such events in Saudi Arabia. He stated: "Hosting events like Black Hat MEA in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia embodies the Kingdom's ambition for leadership in the field of cybersecurity, aligning with Vision 2030." This reflects the Kingdom's commitment to fostering a secure digital environment.

This year's edition promises an impressive lineup with over 300 speakers, 450 exhibitors, and 350 workshops. Numerous cybersecurity experts will participate. The Activity Zone, sponsored by Haboob, offers prizes exceeding SAR2 million for participants and visitors. Challenges include smart home hacking, medical device hacking, infrastructure challenges, lock picking contests, and truck hacking.
Capture the Flag Tournament
Black Hat will also host the largest Capture the Flag tournament globally. Prizes total SAR790,000, with SAR90,000 reserved exclusively for Saudi teams. The Bug Bounty Cup is another highlight. It offers up to SAR300,000 in prizes and presents challenges suitable for both professionals and newcomers.
Saudi Arabia is hosting Black Hat MEA for the third time following previous successes. Originating from Las Vegas, Black Hat has grown into a global event. Registration details can be found on their official website.
