Black Hat MEA 2024 Unveils Major Cybersecurity Initiatives With SAR50 Million From IMPACT46
On its third day, the Black Hat Middle East and Africa (MEA) 2024 cybersecurity event in Malham, north of Riyadh, showcased several significant cybersecurity initiatives. Among these was a strategic investment of SAR50 million by IMPACT46, announced by Cipher company for cybersecurity. This investment highlights the growing focus on enhancing cybersecurity measures within the region.
Black Hat MEA also witnessed the introduction of "MetrasXDR," a Saudi product for extended detection and response, launched by the Saudi Information Technology Company (SITE). This initiative underscores SITE's dedication to localizing technology and strengthening digital system security. Additionally, sirar by stc introduced "Athar," a solution designed to protect against data leakage.

Aramco Digital made headlines with the launch of Cyberani, the Kingdom's first cybersecurity operations center for operational technologies. Cyberani also introduced its product line "CyProducts" during the event. Salam company revealed "Siyaj," a next-generation firewall that employs artificial intelligence and cutting-edge security techniques to enhance protection for individuals and small to medium-sized enterprises.
Trend Micro presented various cybersecurity solutions aimed at aiding security managers in predicting attack paths and evaluating risks. Their offerings included ASRM and Trend Vision One – SPC, which provides comprehensive threat insights and data storage solutions within Saudi Arabia.
The event also featured Saudi DataLexing's new generation of productive tools. These innovative solutions include tables, automatically linked reports, and integrated surveys designed to streamline processes. The Black Hat MEA event is organized by the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones alongside Tahaluf, a strategic joint venture involving Informa PLC and the Events Investment Fund.
This global platform focuses on technological advancements that contribute to the growth of the cybersecurity sector. Held at Riyadh Exhibition & Convention Center in Malham from November 26 to 28, it brings together experts to explore cutting-edge solutions in cybersecurity.
