Biggest Water Theme Park In The Region 'Aquarabia' Joins Six Flags Qiddiya City
The Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) Board of Directors has unveiled plans for Aquarabia, poised to be Saudi Arabia's premier water theme park and the largest in the region. Situated in Qiddiya City, this innovative attraction is set to enhance the leisure landscape alongside Six Flags Qiddiya City, marking the first Six Flags establishment outside North America. Aquarabia emerges as a pioneering venture, embodying the "Power of Play" philosophy with its 22 rides and attractions designed for family enjoyment. It boasts four world records, including the globe's tallest water coaster and water slide, the highest drop body slide, and the longest mat racer. Additionally, it will feature the first underwater adventure ride with fully submersible vehicles, catering to thrill-seekers with an extreme watersports zone.
Aquarabia's design draws inspiration from ancient desert wellsprings and local wildlife, offering a narrative-driven experience uncommon in water parks. This complements the adrenaline-fueled Six Flags Qiddiya City, which promises twenty-eight rides across six themed lands, including five world record-breaking coasters. Both parks are nestled in a walkable neighborhood within Qiddiya City, surrounded by a diverse selection of hotels, dining venues, and a tranquil green oasis.

Abdullah Aldawood, Managing Director of Qiddiya Investment Company, expressed enthusiasm about this significant development for Qiddiya City and its contribution to Saudi Arabia's entertainment, tourism, and sports sectors. He highlighted the project's role in diversifying the economy and generating employment opportunities within the tourism industry.
Slated for completion in 2025, Aquarabia and Six Flags Qiddiya City are under construction, with their opening dates to be announced later. These attractions are anticipated to meet the growing domestic demand for immersive entertainment and water-based activities. They align with Saudi Vision 2030's objectives by offering new entertainment options for residents, boosting local tourism, and supporting economic diversification.
The development of Aquarabia and Six Flags Qiddiya City underscores a commitment to sustainability. Innovative technologies will be employed to ensure efficient water use and waste management. Aquarabia plans to utilize recycled water for irrigation and cooling systems, reducing water waste by up to 90% and minimizing energy consumption. Similarly, Six Flags Qiddiya City aims to recycle operational waste with a target of over 80% diversion from landfill.
The announcement of Aquarabia follows a series of exciting developments in Qiddiya City, including the world's first multi-use Gaming and Esports District, Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium for multiple sports, a motorsport track, and a Dragon Ball theme park. These initiatives collectively aim to transform Qiddiya City into a leading destination for entertainment and sports, contributing significantly to Saudi Arabia's economic goals and enhancing quality of life for its residents.
