Belarusian Official Highlights Strategic Relations With UAE Amid Growing Trade And Tourism
The relationship between Belarus and the UAE is described as "strategic" by Dmitry Pantus, Chairman of the State Authority for Military Industry of Belarus. He noted that this partnership is growing dynamically due to the support from both nations' leaderships. Regular meetings between leaders of the two countries are seen as a strong foundation for enhancing partnerships in multiple areas.
Pantus highlighted that trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and the UAE is on a steady rise. The volume of trade exchange is increasing each year, with business communities actively seeking new collaboration opportunities. Belarusian companies frequently participate in major international exhibitions in the UAE, which boosts their products' presence in regional markets.

Belarus's defence industry sector will be represented at IDEX 2025 through a national pavilion showcasing cutting-edge technologies and products. Additionally, Belarusian food producers are participating in Dubai's Gulfood exhibition, highlighting the diverse areas of cooperation between the two nations.
The UAE has become a popular tourist destination for Belarusians, with around 40,000 visiting in 2024. In response, Belarus aims to increase tourist inflow from the UAE and plans to host a delegation of Emirati tourism companies in April 2025 to promote its tourism potential.
The medical tourism sector is also gaining traction, with Belarus developing specialised offerings for UAE residents interested in its modern medical facilities. This initiative aims to attract more visitors seeking therapeutic services.
Pantus expressed optimism about future bilateral cooperation between Belarus and the UAE. He believes that by leveraging available opportunities and strengthening joint initiatives, both countries will continue to enhance their strategic partnership across various fields.
