BEEAH Group Partners With Hashgraph To Launch Decentralised Digital Identity Solution Across Ecosystem

BEEAH Group, a leader in sustainability and digital transformation in the region, has teamed up with The Hashgraph Group (THG), a Swiss Web3 technology firm within the Hedera ecosystem. This collaboration aims to introduce one of the region’s first decentralised digital identity (DID) solutions. This initiative will streamline secure access across BEEAH’s various businesses and services.

Since its inception in 2007, BEEAH has evolved from a waste management company into a diversified group. It now drives progress across five strategic areas: Environment, Energy, Technology, Healthcare, and Real Estate. These sectors form an integrated ecosystem focused on sustainability and digital transformation.

The partnership was formalised at GITEX Global 2025, highlighting their mutual dedication to innovation and digital excellence in the region. Enabled by The Hashgraph Association (THA) under its Enterprise Accelerator Programme, this collaboration introduces IDTrust. THG’s enterprise-grade self-sovereign identity platform is built on Hedera’s distributed ledger technology (DLT).

Khaled Al Huraimel, Group CEO & Vice Chairman of BEEAH Group, stated, "For years, we have been committed to the principles of sustainability, technology, and socioeconomic development, which is why we are among the first to implement a DID solution in the region, across our growing ecosystem."

IDTrust will be rolled out in phases starting with BEEAH’s internal operations. This includes managing identities for employees and partners before expanding across all BEEAH entities and projects like smart real estate communities and healthcare facilities. Future phases will explore broader collaborations with government and city-wide stakeholders in the UAE.

Regional Leadership in Digital Innovation

Kamal Youssefi, President of The Hashgraph Association, noted that backed by the Hedera Governing Council, THA aims to promote Hedera's global adoption. He highlighted MENA's leadership in implementing advanced digital technologies through strategic partnerships like that between BEEAH and THG.

The deployment signifies a significant step in BEEAH’s digital transformation journey. It establishes a connected ecosystem prioritising trust and privacy across environmental services, energy, real estate, technology, and healthcare sectors.

Future Prospects for Decentralised Identity

The global decentralised digital identity market was valued at US$647.80 million in 2022. According to Grandview Research projections, it is expected to reach US$102 billion by 2030 with a CAGR of 90.3% from 2023 to 2030.

By leveraging IDTrust as a secure self-sovereign identity solution using quantum-secure cryptography for verification processes such as KYC checks or accessing e-government services; BEEAH aims to offer seamless authentication across its operations.

This initiative positions BEEAH as a model for decentralised identity adoption within the region while aligning with UAE’s vision for smarter governance practices.
