Bathraa Initiative Launched By KSrelief To Empower Small-Scale Rural Producers Worldwide
Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of KSrelief, launched the "Bathraa" initiative in Riyadh. This programme aims to empower small-scale rural producers outside Saudi Arabia. Eng. Mansour bin Hilal Al-Mushaiti, Vice Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, attended the event. Dr. Al Rabeeah emphasised that true development begins with empowering individuals to uplift themselves.
The Bathraa initiative is designed to transform suffering into opportunity by enabling communities to become self-reliant. It combines expertise from Saudi institutions like the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture with international partners in countries needing humanitarian aid. This collaboration forms a cohesive system that delivers impactful results based on Saudi values.

Dr. Al Rabeeah highlighted KSrelief's commitment to turning this initiative into action through community farming projects, technical support programs, vocational training, and micro-rural financing. Innovative marketing methods for local products will also be introduced to ensure sustainability and empowerment.
Eng. Al-Mushaiti described KSrelief as a global humanitarian legacy and a distinct mark of Saudi Arabia. The partnership with KSrelief aims to connect action with impact, relief with development, and giving with empowerment to achieve sustainable growth and community prosperity.
Saudi Arabia has become a global model for sustainable development and humanitarian work. The success of this model is driven by leadership support, trust in national capabilities, and integration among government, private, and non-profit sectors.
Documentary Film Highlights
The event concluded with a documentary film showcasing the Bathraa initiative's role in supporting small-scale rural producers worldwide. The film highlighted how the initiative provides seeds, raw materials, training, and marketing assistance to farmers, livestock breeders, beekeepers, and fishermen in crisis-affected regions.
This support helps generate income and fosters self-sufficiency while boosting local economies. Dr. Al Rabeeah called on KSrelief’s partners — including donors, the private sector, civil society, and social responsibility pioneers — to join this global initiative.
