Bangladeshi Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus Welcomes UAE Minister Of Tolerance In Dhaka

Professor Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser of Bangladesh's interim government, welcomed Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, at Dhaka's Jamuna Palace. This meeting was part of Sheikh Nahyan's official visit to Bangladesh. During their discussions, Sheikh Nahyan conveyed greetings from President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Professor Yunus.

The visit highlighted the robust bilateral ties between the UAE and Bangladesh, which have seen notable progress in various sectors. Both parties discussed enhancing cooperation in shared interests like sustainable development and broadening bilateral partnerships. They also emphasised exchanging expertise and knowledge to support sustainable initiatives.

Sheikh Nahyan arrived in Dhaka on Wednesday afternoon with a high-level delegation. Lutfi Siddiqi, Special Envoy for International Affairs to the Chief Adviser of Bangladesh's Interim Government, received them. The delegation included Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State; Mohammed Abdulrahman Mohammed Abdulghafour Al Hawi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Investment; and Abdullah Ali Al Hamoudi, UAE Ambassador to Bangladesh.

The discussions underscored the importance of future partnerships that align with both countries' aspirations for balanced and sustainable development. They reaffirmed the strength of existing bilateral relations and expressed a sincere desire to enhance cooperation further. This collaboration aims to support regional stability and prosperity.

At the end of the visit, both sides stressed the need for ongoing joint efforts and increased exchanges between officials from both nations.
