Albudaiwi emphasised the pressing need for GCC countries to address challenges arising from global economic trends. He praised their ability to navigate crises due to wise policies. He noted that GCC nations have emerged as future economic growth hubs thanks to strategic leadership, strong economies, and advantageous locations.

The Secretary-General discussed indirect repercussions from recent global developments affecting GCC financial markets. These include weak energy demand, falling oil prices, public budget pressures, diversification plan impacts, declining private sector confidence, rising inflation from import costs, and exchange rate effects due to currency pegging to the dollar.

Albudaiwi highlighted the GCC's balanced foreign policies with both Eastern and Western nations. This approach aims to strengthen strategic partnerships and position GCC states as attractive investment destinations for companies from both regions. He also examined how current global trading conditions influence existing and future trade agreements for GCC countries.

The forum underscored opportunities for the GCC to become a neutral hub for supply chains and investments. Enhancing foreign direct investment is crucial, with green and digital technology playing a pivotal role in building economic capacity within the Council countries.

In his speech, Albudaiwi reiterated that "the GCC countries have proven their ability to overcome the most difficult crises thanks to their wise policies." This statement underscores the resilience demonstrated by these nations amidst global economic challenges.
