Aviation Technical College Celebrates Graduation Of 1,291 Aircraft Maintenance Technicians Trained To Global Standards
The International Aviation Technical College (IATC) in Riyadh celebrated the graduation of 1,291 Saudi trainees on Monday evening. The event was attended by Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan and other senior officials. These graduates, specialising in aircraft maintenance engineering, were trained to international standards and have an 85% employment rate in both civil and military aviation sectors.
The IATC has established itself as a premier training institution, preparing national talent for the workforce. It has received local and international accreditations for its high-quality training programs that align with global best practices. This recognition underscores its commitment to excellence in education and training.

For the first time, the IATC is training female students in aircraft maintenance engineering. These trainees are assured a 100% job placement rate due to strategic partnerships with major companies like Riyadh Air. This initiative marks a significant step towards gender inclusivity in technical fields within Saudi Arabia.
Since its inception in late 2014, the IATC has graduated over 8,800 individuals. The college continues to expand its capacity, now accommodating more than 4,500 male and female trainees. This growth is part of ongoing efforts to address the shortage of qualified national talent in aircraft maintenance and engineering.
The IATC remains at the forefront by introducing Saudi Arabia's first diploma program in unmanned aircraft systems engineering and maintenance. This program reflects the institution's adaptability to future industry needs and changing labour market demands. It ensures that graduates are well-equipped for emerging opportunities.
The college's success is evident through its impressive employment rates and strategic collaborations with leading aviation entities. These partnerships enhance job prospects for graduates and contribute to the development of a skilled workforce ready to meet industry challenges.
The IATC's achievements highlight its role in bridging the gap between education and employment in aviation fields. By fostering talent development, it supports Saudi Arabia's vision for economic diversification and growth through skilled human capital.
