AUS And Transmed Sign MoU To Enhance Industry Engagement And Student Development
The American University of Sharjah (AUS) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Transmed, a company known for distributing consumer goods like household and food products. This agreement aims to merge academic insights with industry practices, benefiting both institutions and the community through research, student development, and knowledge sharing.
Dr. Tod Laursen, Chancellor of AUS, and Dr. Ahmad Mourad, Chief Information Officer of Transmed, signed the MoU in the presence of senior officials from both organisations. Dr. Laursen remarked on the importance of university-industry connections in providing education that is both rigorous and relevant. He stated, "Strong university-industry linkages are essential to delivering education that is both rigorous and relevant.
