Aster DM Healthcare Collaborates with Dubai Police for Ramadan Iftar Kit Distribution

For the sixth consecutive year, Aster DM Healthcare, has renewed its partnership with Dubai Police to offer Iftar Kits to drivers during the Holy Month of Ramadan. This gesture underscores their ongoing commitment to community welfare and the spirit of giving synonymous with the Holy Month.

The initiative is part of Aster DM Healthcare's broader corporate social responsibility efforts, aimed at enhancing the well-being of the community during a time that emphasizes compassion and unity.

This year’s campaign will ensure the distribution of 150,000 Iftar Kits across Dubai, maintaining the effort to support motorists unable to break their fast at home due to traffic.

Each kit, prepared by volunteers from Aster DM Healthcare, includes dates, water, a cake, and juice, providing a timely and much-needed meal for those on the road during the sunset.

With approximately 5,000 kits handed out daily, and on some days peaking at 6,000, the initiative significantly aids those observing the fast.

The initiative is led by Aster Volunteers, the global CSR arm of Aster DM Healthcare, along with community volunteers, including employees from Aster Hospitals & Clinics and Aster Pharmacies.

Over 100 individuals will take part in distributing the Iftar kits at five major traffic intersections in Dubai. This collective effort not only exemplifies the spirit of Ramadan but also brings together the community in a shared mission of kindness and support.

Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman of Aster DM Healthcare, reflected on the significance of the campaign, "Breaking fast on time is crucial for those observing Ramadan, yet many motorists find themselves stuck in traffic during Iftar. Over the last six years, we have witnessed how our Iftar kits provide much-needed relief, allowing individuals to break their fast safely and continue their journey without stress. We are honored to continue this initiative in collaboration with Dubai Police, ensuring we bring comfort and support to our community members during the holy month."

First Lieutenant of Dubai Police, Abdullah Abdulrahman, further highlighted the impact of the collaboration, "We are proud to collaborate with Aster DM Healthcare for the 6th consecutive year to distribute Iftar Kits to motorists. Ramadan is a time of unity and generosity, and this initiative fosters a sense of community by ensuring that individuals on the road can break their fast with ease. Our partnership with Aster DM Healthcare reflects Dubai Police's commitment to initiatives that promote safety, well-being, and compassion."

The initiative's expansion this year to distribute 150,000 kits underscores a growing effort to reach more individuals and make a significant impact.

In the previous years, the campaign successfully handed out 150,000 and 117,000 Iftar Kits. These numbers not only demonstrate the scale of the campaign but also Aster DM Healthcare's sustained dedication to supporting the community throughout Ramadan.

Through this annual initiative, Aster DM Healthcare and Dubai Police embody the values of empathy, solidarity, and generosity fundamental to Ramadan. The campaign not only aids those in need but also strengthens the bonds within the community, ensuring that the spirit of the Holy Month is felt by all, irrespective of their situation.

This effort, running throughout Ramadan, offers nourishing meals to commuters, reflecting the enduring commitment of both organizations to foster a caring and supportive environment in Dubai.
