Aseer Farms: Nature and Sustainable Tourism

These attractions are particularly popular among families and children, with specialized tours organized to enrich their experience. The region hosts 40 active tourist farms, including the largest rose farm in Saudi Arabia. This contributes significantly to the Kingdom's total fruit production, accounting for 14% of it.

Director General of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture branch in Aseer Ahmed Al Mujthal stated that the region leads the Kingdom with more than 159,000 agricultural holdings. It is also the top honey producer in Saudi Arabia, responsible for 20% of national output.

Al Majthal underscored that these factors have positioned Aseer’s farms as a leading model of sustainable agricultural tourism. Here, nature blends with heritage to offer visitors an immersive and diverse agricultural experience. The combination of natural beauty and cultural heritage makes these farms a unique attraction.

The transformation of Aseer's agricultural sector into a tourism hub highlights the potential for rural development through sustainable practices. By integrating traditional farming methods with modern tourism services, the region has created a vibrant economy that benefits both locals and visitors alike.
